Get it

Free, open source, and yours to build.

The firmware and the terminal are both on GitHub. Flash the firmware onto an ESP32-S3 board with the Arduino tools, and download the terminal for Windows 11.

BaudHound firmware

Arduino, an ESP32-S3, and four settings.

Install the ESP32 core 3.x and the ESP32Async builds of Async TCP and ESP Async WebServer. Choose ESP32S3 Dev Module, QSPI PSRAM, 16 MB flash and USB CDC on boot, then upload firmware/BaudHound/BaudHound.ino. Press reset once if the board waits for a download.

First run

The device starts an open network named BaudHound-XXXX.
Join it and the console page opens, or browse to 192.168.4.1.
Settings, WiFi, Scan: join your own network. Its own network stays up as a fallback.
Optional: flash the companion sketch onto a spare ESP32 as a test target.

BaudHoundTerm

Download, check, run.

Download the zip and SHA256SUMS from the releases page and check the zip before running it. Extract the whole archive; the executable needs the folders beside it. Builds are unsigned, so SmartScreen reports an unknown publisher. It needs WebView2, which Windows 11 already has.

State of it

Current builds are developer pre-releases, numbered 0.8.0-dev.
Check a download with Get-FileHash -Algorithm SHA256 against SHA256SUMS.
The manual is in the repository, under docs/MANUAL.md.
