Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the MAH7 / HopWarden website (www.mah7.com) collects when you visit it, why, and what we do with it. We keep data collection deliberately small: there are no advertising cookies, no third-party analytics, and nothing at all is stored in your browser. We do count visits, and we do it from our own server logs rather than from anything running on your machine.

What we collect

• Server access logs. When you load a page, our web server records your IP address, browser user-agent, the URL requested, the date and time, and the response status. This is standard web-server logging, used to operate the site, investigate errors, detect abuse or attacks, and produce the visit statistics described below.
• Visit statistics. Once a day we summarise the previous day's access log into a small set of totals: how many requests and pages were served, how many distinct visitors there were, which pages were viewed, which sites referred them, and which browsers were used. Distinct visitors are counted in memory and the addresses are discarded when the count is taken. No IP address is written to these files. What remains is a set of numbers about the day, not about any person.
• Blocked addresses. If an address or a range of addresses is used to attack, scan or spam this site, we may add it to a blocklist that drops its traffic before it reaches the site at all. That entry is a network address in a configuration file, kept alongside the date and the reason, and it stays there for as long as the block does. This is the one case in which we deliberately keep an address, it is done for security rather than for statistics, and it applies to sources of abuse rather than to visitors.
• The demo / beta-access form. If you fill in the request form, we receive the details you enter - your name, your work email address, and your description of what you need to watch. We use these only to respond to your request.
• Email you send us. If you email info@mah7.com, we keep that correspondence so we can reply and follow up.

Cookies, storage and fingerprinting

This site sets no cookies of any kind, and stores nothing in your browser. No tracking cookies, no advertising cookies, no local storage, no session storage. Nothing is placed on your device to be read back later, so there is nothing to consent to and nothing to clear.

We do not fingerprint your browser. We do not probe your device to build an identifier out of it: no canvas or WebGL rendering, no audio measurement, no font or plugin enumeration, no screen or hardware readings, no device lists. The only script this site loads is the one that submits the request form, fonts are served from our own domain, and no page loads anything from a third party.

The one thing we do see is the browser identification string your browser sends with every request, which we record in the access log and count in the daily statistics. That is a description of a browser, not a way of recognising a person.

Third parties who process this data

• Formspree receives and delivers the request form to us. Your form entries pass through Formspree’s service on the way to our inbox, subject to their own privacy terms.
• Our hosting and network provider processes the traffic and logs described above as part of serving the site.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone except the processors above and where required by law.

How long we keep it

Server logs are rotated automatically and held for a few days at most before being overwritten. The daily visit statistics derived from them are kept indefinitely, because they contain no IP addresses and nothing that identifies a visitor. An address or range on the blocklist is kept until the block is lifted, which may be indefinitely. Information from the form or from email is kept for as long as needed to handle your request and any resulting relationship, after which it is removed on request or when no longer needed.

Your choices

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@mah7.com and we will respond. You can also simply choose not to submit the form; browsing the site requires no personal details from you.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and its “last updated” date above.
